2010 Year End Golf Handicap
2010 has come and gone. According to fairway files, I played 50 rounds in 2010. I think I actually played about 15-20 more rounds than that because I didn’t actually “officially” record all of my scores due to non-official score keeping. Anyways, I ended the year with a 14.9 handicap. I think that’s worse than what I ended at in 2009. Ugghhh.
One thing that I didn’t do this year was take any lessons. I take that back. I actually went to Raspberry Golf Academy for a quick 30 minutes free lesson in the middle of the year some time. That’s it.
From here, I’m not sure what to do. I’m obviously not getting that much better by going about this myself. I was hoping to be a single digit handicapper by the end of 2010. It didn’t happen.
So, what’s in store for 2011? Well, hopefully, I will get better. More consistent. Better at my short game. Get down to the low 30s with putting. Oh yeah, did I mention, more consistent? Maybe stay in the fairway on my drives? Uggghhh.
I guess all I can promise is that I will put a little more work into getting better. I’m a firm believer that the results will come AFTER you put in the work. That’s true for everything in life.
So, golf-wise, this is my 2011 New Year’s resolution. To put my work into my golf game. The single digit handicap will come…
