My Swing vs. Ben Crane
I love analyzing my swing. And I love watching other pro’s swings. Since I have an electrical engineer background, I’m always one to start with the mechanics first. Anyways, I bought this program called V1 Home. It allows me to compare two swings at one time. Here is my swing versus Ben Crane, who, in my opinion, has one of the best swings in golf.
Notice that I take my club too far inside at the quarter mark:
At the 9 o’clock position, I’m a little steep. I need to be more flat:
At the top, notice how my club does not point to the target, as does Ben Crane’s. Problem. This causes me to come over the top. Also notice that I am setup closed, which causes me to slice/fade naturally.
At impact, not too bad.
Overall, my swing has improved, but I still have a long way to go. I need to figure out a way to keep my club on the outside on my takeaway. Too inside is causing a lot of problems for me. This is what I’ll be working on at the range…
